I have several question: - What version of Octave are you using and how have you installed Octave? - What exactly do you mean by "launch the text editor"? Opening a file or just showing the editor widget? - Isn't the editor visible when you start Octave? - What was the editor's state when you closed Octave before?	Torsten Lilge <ttl>
