Thanks for reporting back.

I couldn't find a bug report that tracks the incompatibility with the new Windows Terminal. So, I'm changing the summary to make it easier to find this report.

I think I've seen a similar paragraph about an issue being fixed and available in the next minor release in the past.
Was that added to your post automatically?
To avoid confusion for anyone coming across this: This compatibility issue hasn't been fixed in Octave.

Your solution at this forum thread worked fine.

This problem has been fixed in the stable version. The fix will
be available in the next minor software release. Thank you for

Am using Octave with Windows 11 Pro on new HP Laptop
Octave works with my scripts but several problems
1.  The windows layout is not retained from previous sessions.  The windows layout has to be reset and my preferred layout set up with the editor window to the right of the command window on each opening.
2.  The command window vertical scroll bar does not work
3.  On closing the preferences window, Octave crashes
4.  The terminal window opens behind the GUI when Octave opens (not sure if that's a bug or not)

(Works fine on older Windows 10 machine and Apple Mac).

Octave is a really good piece of software which is much appreciated.
