Thank you for the information. I did not check for scilab.
Similar to matlab .m files work in octave.
It would be good if simulink files work in octave.

Yes the wiki is helpful lot of information to learn. Then I test.
Yes very low priority.

The possibility to use xcos from octave is nice. However it would be very helpful if simulink files could be im-/exported with xcos. I have found some older projects aiming for implementing this (https://wiki.scilab.org/Contributor%20-%20Simulink%20Import). Does anybody know about the current state of this or similar projects?

Thanks, I knew it was somewhere but I probably searched with the wrong keywords.

@OP: does that simulation option outlined in the wiki help you?

(Lowering priority & severity for the time being.)

Actually, there is a page in the Octave-Wiki about the link between Octave and Scilab:

IIRC there's some sort of link between Scilab's xcos (based on Modelica) and Octave. Try to search for that.

From this thread

That was 2011 and there has been major improvements to octave in this time.

But the github of this project is not found.
Does anyone have access to it or have been able to combine the two softwares?
