At least this was easy to fix.  I checked in a change here (http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/76d90f0c81af).  Closing report.

Running the following code produces an error which says it comes from the 'whos' function, when it actually comes from the 'who' function.

who -file
error: whos: -file argument must be followed by a filename
