Hi,

pkg-devs decided that since this is a bug against dev versions of Octave it wont fix.
I am ok with that.

@Devs: please close this bug. Maybe as "won't fix"?

Since nonlin_curvefit doesn't call any compiled code of the package, the segfault must be due to Octave, not to the optim package.

To find the bug in Octave, a backtrace may be useful.
