Version 3.8.2 is very old and no longer supported.  Closing report.

Please test with the latest version of Octave if possible. The 4.0.1 release is now available on ftp.gnu.org.

Need context. Why close the application when it's starting? How are you trying to kill it from task manager?

If a close the aplplication when octave is starting, the command window still there but I can't force to close with task manager.
