Apparently the files for SizeTester were never added to the build system.  I fixed that on the stable branch here http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/8fdf1f991a32.  And again on the default branch since the syntax of the build system has changed so much (http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/8fdf1f991a32).

I tried to clean up and re-building, and I have also build octave
from scratch, (under Ubuntu), but still, when running __run_test_suite__ I got 10 failures, in classes.txt, because "'SizeTester' undefined".

Maybe a path problem? Where is SizeTester defined?

The relevant part of the log is attached.

Works for me as well.  This is a Linux platform.  You might try cleaning out all cruft and re-building.  "make maintainer-clean; bootstrap; configure; make"

I see 11 known failures in classes.tst with the current sources (hg id ec532a439c6f).

Exactly what version are you using?

running __run_test_suite__

classes.tst has 10 failures, bot in Windows-7 and Ubuntu.

On Windows:

>> test classes.tst
***** test st = SizeTester ([1 1]);
 assert (isequal (size (st), [1 1]))
 assert (isequal (numel (st), 1))
!!!!! test failed
'SizeTester' undefined near line 2 column 7
shared variables   scalar structure containing the fields:
    st = [](0x0)

On linux:

>> test classes.tst
***** test drk1 = Dork (drk);
 assert (isequal (class (drk1), 'Dork'));
 assert (isa (drk1, 'Snork'));
 assert (isequal (gick (drk1), 3));
 assert (isequal (gack (drk1), -3));
!!!!! test failed
assert (isequal (gick (drk1), 3)) failed
shared variables   scalar structure containing the fields:
drk.gick =

     3

drk.gack =

    -3
