okay, fltk workaround seems to work... would you close the issue?

This is a limitation of gnuplot. It doesn't handle 3d plotting very well. Try fltk instead, run "graphics_toolkit fltk" before any plotting command. If you want this fix in gnuplot, we should bring it up with them.

By the way, "Mathlab" sounds so close to "methlab", which is a funny way to refer to Matlab.

Hello,

I run the following code


[x,y] = meshgrid([-2:0.2:2]);
surfc(x,y,(x.^2+y.^2))
line([-2,2],[2,-2],[-1,-1],'Color','r', 'LineWidth', 2);


Unfortunately, the red line, as well as the function contours are always overlapped by the 3D-Mesh. MathLab behaves correctly at this points, and the 3D-Mesh is overlapped by the lines.
