We always appreciate more contributions!

I would like to make PSPP work well with Python, but I don't think this will happen soon.

No! But i would like to see texts about
"Ben Pfaff wrote the initial program and manual, which comprises the........."

be translated too

as well the section about
"                    GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE ....".

I am thinking maybe in the future i will be involved in pspp development. However, this is written in C that i do not know. I know python / R.

I think that I need to individually consider these command names.

"Crosstabs" or "Logistic Regression", for example, seem like command names that one could translate and could appear in output headings translated in reasonable fashion.

I agree that "If Else" is just command syntax.

For names that could be menu items or command names, I can add notes to the translators.

Do you have any further thoughts to offer?

my opinion is that if the syntax itself is not going to be translated, it will be confusing. what the translation of "if else" could mean.

Also, it is confusing that some of these items may lie either on menus or elsewhere eg. "Examine" I do not know if it is referring in syntax or in the menu item.

Therefore a translation of Examine that is in syntax may create confusion.

So my opinion is to be removed all syntax words from po files.

However, i am not the only user of pspp. You may send us a link to vote to those involved in sending bugs, devs and other related pspp users.

The language itself should not be translated, but there are some circumstances where command names can come up in titles or heading in output. For those circumstances, I wanted to give translators the opportunity to translate them.  Maybe it is not necessary in every case; these come from a large table of every command name and I did not consider for all of them whether it is likely that they would appear in output.

What is your opinion?

these commands are meant to be translated?

See attached picture.

i dont think "XSave" or "Else If" are to be translated.

Are these pspp syntax expression? Right?

I have read that somes translate even the language expression in some envinroments.

Is that possible in pspp? To translate even the syntax commands?
