Hi,

Currently, glibc's gettimeofday() just returns the result of GNU mach's host_get_time(), which comes direectly from RTC. That means that RTC is supposed to be set at GMT, but because of some systems, one may have to set it rather to the local time.

As a result, there should be a possibility of some compensation that would get set very early in the boot process.

Regards,
Samuel
