x(1,1) = 0 ;
y(1,1) = x(1,1) ;
x+y


gives

error: foo.m: A(I): index out of bounds; value 121 out of bound 1

The following code produces an error under the latest development code when it should merely perform subtraction.


x = [1:5];
y = x;
x -y
error: A(I): index out of bounds; value 121 out of bound 5
