I meant bug #15072 of course.

This is a duplicate of bug #15027.

Thomas, can you still reproduce this?  Could you also attach gdb to pfinet and see what is going on?

(Sorry for the long delay, but the Debian tracker is not the proper place for bugs of this nature)

Subject: hurd: LAN interface dies on connection problem
Date: Tue, 22 Nov 2005 22:53:10 +0100

Package: hurd
Version: gnumach 20050501-4
Severity: normal

Hi,

when I have a connection problem with tcp/ip, the LAN-interface seems to die.

Example:
I've initialized my NIC with this command:
 # settrans -fgap /servers/socket/2 /hurd/pfinet -i eth0 -a a.b.c.d -g e.f.g.h
-m i.j.k.l
I make a ping to a server and I get an reply, as expected
I open a second terminal session and do an "apt-get upgrade". One of the
servers didn't reply
The ping on the first session stops working
After I stop the "apt-get upgrade" with Ctrl-C and do an "settrans
-fgap /servers/socket/2 /hurd/pfinet -i eth0 -a a.b.c.d -g e.f.g.h -m
i.j.k.l", the ping tells me "resource lost" and stops. If I do a new ping
then, it continues to work.

The gnumach-package is 20050501-4 (the newer one make my machine panicing).

This are some information about my hardware (retrieved in Linux):
