Sun 07 May 2006 03:05:47 PM UTC, comment #4: Sorry, take back that last comment. I just burnt a new Grub CD on the latest version of Slax, 5.1.4 and was amazed when it booted OK. Slax is using version 0.95, and I see now that Gentoo doesn't have that version in portage!

Hi, New to Linux so please bare with me. Have read the Grub manual and experimented for hours (in fact, days) but cannot get past the following when trying to boot from a CD created exactly as per the manual, using Grub 0.95:

We've moved to GRUB 2 as a development platform. Please can you check if this bug still applies there, and if it does, reopen it?
Btw, you can use the "grub-mkrescue" command to generate ISO images for testing.
