We've moved to GRUB 2 as a development platform.  Unfortunately, GRUB 2 doesn't have network support yet, although there's ongoing work to implement it.  If you want to help on that, please contact <grub-devel@gnu.org>.

In the meantime, this bug doesn't apply.  I'm closing it.

Try the diskless-boot patch, it contains the latest NIC drivers. The drivers in origin GRUB-0.94 can support only a few eepro100 cards.

FYI, it works with my docking station of Dell Inspiron 5000.

At least using a Tyan Tomact i875P/S5102 motherboard.  This board has two on-board Intel NIC's, one is an 82562ET (eepro100), the other a gigabit 82547EI, which we are ignoring.  The BIOS is correctly configured and network booting from the 82562ET based interface.

When pxegrub executes, it gives the error:
Probing... [eepro100] no ethernet card found.

Tried also using --enable-pci-direct with the same results.
