After deep investigations I discovered that the problem could be due to a layout GKB file to make the GRUB shell more convenient. I am French and when I enter in the GRUB shell my keyboard is in QWERTY which is a pain to type some characters so I translated the QWERTY to AZERTY with ckbcomp which caused some troubles (see here for more explanations).

GNU GRUB version 2.02+dfsg1-20+deb10u4

With Linux Debian Buster, I set a password for GRUB2 but I can not use entirely the numpad keys for typing the user nor the password. When I press "0" from the numpad I obtain "Unknown key 0x62" but the other numpad keys work without error.

I suspect a bug and I isolated the problem in typing "123456789/*-+0" from GRUB shell (from Grub menu press C key to switch to command line). Only the 0 (zero) numpad key triggers this message...

I tested on 2 different computer with the same behaviour.

What is wrong ?
