Latest commit seems to fix the problem as stated.

To do yet: the hooked Upsilon U+03D2-4 don't transform properly to lower-case. Can't yet see why.

Also, the Greek lookups in Serif and Sans seem to be arranged differently.

Regarding hb-shape: I never knew how to use that utility, and as I said, the -u flag just gives an error. I managed to get it working by typing:

hb-shape .fonts/f/FreeMonoBoldOblique.otf --features=c2sc --language=el

Then interactively enter unicode text.

Hi,

my hb-shape doesn't take a flag '-u'.

The problem with upsilon is this: there are three separate processes going on here. One is the localization of the upsilon from the westernized form to the hooked form. Then the decomposition of all the complex greek characters for small-caps form, and then the actual small-capping. The first is triggered by 'lang', the other two by feature. The order these happen in determine the results, and the most complicated case of upsilon is tricky to orchestrate.

I added another lookup to handle the specific case of upsilon for greek languages in feature 'c2sc'. So far, serif normal only.

It looks like your renderer is ignoring that the language is set to Greek: the first line of upsilons should have hooks. The following, run on FreeSerif built from revision 3831, shows that this bug has not been fixed.

Hi,

I attach how Firefox renders your example on my system.
Maybe some recent commit already fixed this? Or am I not seeing something?

In FreeSerif, when the language is Greek and 'c2sc' is enabled, the diacritics on the capital upsilons of Greek Extended are to the left of the letters. They should be directly above.
