Hello.

The default paths where the acct tools expect the file locations are defined in the 'files.h' and that file seems to be generated from the 'files.h.in' template. The 'configure.ac' contains the following AC_SUBST macros which are supposed to create the output variables from their shell equivalents.

  AC_SUBST(ACCT_FILE_LOC)
  AC_SUBST(SAVACCT_FILE_LOC)
  AC_SUBST(USRACCT_FILE_LOC)

The problem is, that the environmental variables are somehow ignored by the 'configure' script and the definitions in the generated 'files.h' (and other files) are always set to '/var/log/account/*acct'. The only way, how to change the paths is to replace them with 'sed' once the configuration is done.

Please, investigate & fix.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Jaromir.
