OK I made them quite the same.  In SVN.

If you look at arab_gaf_decor (0x184c) which is used on گ (gaf), and keep your eye on it while typing the next character joining gaf (like گر), you will see that the placement of arab_gaf_decor on gaf changes a little. But it's hardy noticable. That's why I wrote "almost."

Masud,

Am I correct in thinking this problem is resolved?

In the character ک, final and middle forms still have a tiny bit of different. But more important than that, there is problem in the placement of arab_gaf_decor (0x184c) between isolated and initial forms of گ.

I'm not quite sure I'm seeing the same thing you are, but in the normal there were some discrepancies, which I remedied.  I'll post a snapshot for you soon.

Hi Steve,

In these characters, there are some parts that should remain the same in initial/middle/final forms (the almost vertical parts).

However, if you to type:
ک
and then you add one more character after it (so that glyph for ک changes to initial form), like this:
کر
you will see that the fixed part of ک moves between isolated and initial forms.

If you start with final form of ک  like this:
مک
and then add another character to change glyph of ک to middle form:
مکر
you will notice a similar movement of the fixed parts.

This affects also:
fb8e ... fb9d
0762 ... 0764
0633
0639 ... 063e
063b, 063c
