If one wants to use grub-editenv, one needs to figure out which file is used to save and load the environment. This information is not easily available--not in help load_env, nor anywhere. This information should be available in the docs, but also grub-editenv should have the same default as load_env to alleviate the need for this piece of documentation in the first place. |

Corresponding source code
grub-editenv defaults now to /boot/grub/editenv too and it prints that out with --help.
Unfortunately this was commited after the 1.97 release was made.
I'm not sure about changing the help output for load_env
There it's actually $prefix/grubenv
