It's been a week without comments.  Marking as fixed and closing report.

I pushed the changes here:

Marking as ready for test. But changes are welcome if anyone would like to contribute.

Thanks for the feedback.
I'll attach an updated patch.
I also added a link to the Discourse forum. Maybe that'll draw some attention to it.

I didn't really like the last heading "Issues". So I changed it in order to sound a little more positive imho. I hope that is ok.

Proofreading (from a native speaker) for errors or linguistic oddities would be very welcome again.

Or if installing for local user

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Programs\GNU Octave

It might be good to note that the default installation location is now in "C:\Program Files\GNU Octave".  It took me a minute to find the installation since I was initially looking in C:\Octave.

I'm not sure if there is a main new feature to put focus on in Octave 6. So I kept it quite vague.

Any suggestions are very welcome.

It would be nice if a native speaker could correct any errors.

The readme.html that displays at the end of the installation on Windows should be updated for Octave 6.1.

I'll upload a changeset as soon as I have a bug number.
