Octave also can run C++, or python via pythonic... which in turn can run java, which in turn can run log4j. Yes, but should we disable C++ and thus Octave for this reason? BTW, Octave can also run on a 10 kg computer which, if it falls from the window of the third floor, can kill you while you are walking in the backyard.

I'll close this report as invalid.

Octave has Jupyter support. Jupyter can run Java. If someone is running Octave through Jupyter, are they exposed to log4j via Jupyter? Should Octave disable Jupyter?
