The "HU_hu" option appears in the selection box in a build from the default branch. When I select that option and re-start the GUI, it appears in a language with Latin script with long words and many accents that isn't German nor English ;-)
So I guess it picked up the translation correctly.

Closing as fixed.

Thank you for merging the Hungarian locale.

I added the Hungarian translation and pushed the changes with you as the author here:
http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/a0bcfaf04cc1

Most of the GUI seems to be translated now. The missing strings are probably still missing from all translation files and will probably added when they are updated ahead of the release of Octave 7.

If the long strings without line breaks should be problematic, we can still push an update before the final release happens (probably some time around the end of this year).

Marking as ready for test.

Thanks again for your contribution.

I'll be happy to integrate it into the build system.

How would you like to be referred to in the list of translators and in the commit data?
Most contributors use first name, last name and email address. But some prefer to stay anonymous or use initials.

Hi,

Attached is the Hungarian language file for the Octave GUI, located at /octave/libgui/languages/hu-HU.ts

Are you able to add these to the Octave program to enable people to use Octave in Hungarian?

Do any other files need to be updated so that the Hungarian language is available in Octave?

Thank you

Óvári
