Marking as a duplicate of bug #60079.  Try using a nightly build of the development branch to see whether the issue has been fixed for you.  If it has not then this report can be re-opened.

I have just tried to paste into command window some code from Octave help webpage http://octave.org/doc/v4.4.0/Three_002dDimensional-Plots.html

While typing Ctrl-V the Command Window crashed. I closed and restarted Octave GUI but it would not help. Also tried to kill the all process tree from Task Manager.
