This has been fixed in the repository and will be published in the next release of the interval package.

Some tests use directive "doctest: +SKIP_IF()" to check if the symbolic version is new enough.  But that presumes that Symbolic is installed.

Those directives should be written in a way that SKIPs if Symbolic is not installed or is too old.
