As Felipe already said you can drag editor and/or command window to the desired position. If you want to have only command window and editor in one window you have to make all other widgets floating and position the remaining command and editor widget to the desired positions.

Does this solve your request or do you mean something different?

ctrl+0 and ctrl+shift+0 alternate between the terminal and the editor.

and you can drag either one by their title bars to have both visible at the same time.

Just a feature request:
It would be nice if the command window could share the same docked area as the editor. In the default view, if you execute a script and something goes wrong, you have to manually use the mouse to go to the command window. Ideally the command window would be able to be docked under the editor so that errors or even data manipulation could happen at the same time.
