Hi Octavio,

Ok, I took a quick look at the tarball.  Sorry for the delay.

Each non-derived file should have a copyright statement, as in
  Copyright 2009 Octavio Rossell.
and also a license statement.  One simple approach is to use GPLv3+ for everything.

I don't know Spanish so I'm not sure, but it looked to me like the license you have in planeta.php says "GPL version 3".  It should also say "or any later version".  I suggest using the standard English wording for the licenses notices in http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html, and then also provide a Spanish translation if you like.

For the binary files (images, database), there should be a statement in the README (or somewhere) about their license.

Please upload a new tarball with the fixes and I'll look again.

For more info, see http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/HowToGetYourProjectApprovedQuickly.

Thanks, and let us know if any questions or problems.

Well, I want to do the following, if it is possible: first to publish it into savannah as a non-gnu package. Then I wanto you to guide me into a deep evaluation on it intended to make my software part of the GNU Project.

I hope I explain myself good enough to give you what I want, because Englis is not my natural language.

Hi Octavio -- so, do you want us to look at your package with regard to approving it as nongnu, or wait for you to submit the GNU evaluation form?  There's lots of overlap in the requirements, for what it's worth.

Best,
Karl

Is ok for me now. I will read the link you give to me and will learn how to better up mu proposal to make my work a complete GNU Software.

The "a" in the planet word is beacuse in Spanish "planet" means "planeta" ;-)

Hi Octavio,

I think we should look at this as non-GNU software for now.  Granted that it's completely related to GNU, making it an official GNU package entails more requirements/special cases/delay.
(Info/form at http://www.gnu.org/help/evaluation.html.)
We've done this with a couple other GNU-related things that aren't "normal" packages.

wdyt?

By the way, what's the "a" in the name (Planet"a"GNU)?  Does it make sense in Spanish or something?  It looks strange in English :).

Thanks,
Karl
