Hi,

Glad to see you're here :-)

I've approved your project--welcome on board!

Before you upload your sources please do the following:

1. Add copyright and license notices to the following newly added files: prefs.php, process_prefs.php, include/menu.php

2. Remove scripts/cal.js, as it's no longer used and it's still impossible to distribute it along with your GPL'd project.

Last, but not the least, please add a full-text verbatim copy of GNU General Public License version 3 at the top level in a file conveniently named `COPYING'--it's required in order to release the project under the terms of GNU GPL.

I've updated your project info to reflect the use of GPL v3 or later.

Don't hesitate to ask questions if something is still not clear. ;)

Alex

Hello,

We've just come back from holidays.
The script of the new agenda module should be ready in a week or two.
This project runs slowly at the moment: there is only one person working
on it, and he is a voluntary worker.

Thank you

Hi,

How is it going?  Do you still plan to use Savannah?

No problem, just let us know when you are ready with that script.

The project could be approved right away if everything is OK. :-)

hi,

We had forgotten about that script. It is a free script, but after checking it appears that it isn't an open GPL script indeed.

We are working on a the integration of an open GPL script.

Thank you for your patience, and sorry for that.

Regards,
Pierre

Hi,

Sorry for delay.

The license headers seem to be in order now.  As I can see, you deliberately switched to GPLv3--I can simply update project info upon approval. :-)

However, I believe there's a problem with script/cal.js: 'All Rights Reserved' looks too restrictive to be compatible with GPL. Also 'License: Free if you keep the credit link in the calendar intact...' on the site doesn't really clarify it any bit.

You'd better contact the author for permission to use/distribute this file along with your GPL-ed project or use some other calendar component.

Until then, your project still cannot be approved.

Excuse but I forget to identify me

Please excuse us for the misunderstanding. This is our first time with
GPL licence: there are so many things we have to learn every day yet.
The webdeveloper and I are working on missing copyright block texts. We
will keep you informed as soon as the code pages are up to date.
Thank you for your patience.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project. You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Hi,

I think there has to be some misunderstanding: the only change in the tarball I can see is that license.txt now contains GPLv3. :)

Do you intend to use GPLv3 instead of GPLv2?

When I said your source files are missing copyright and license notices I meant that you should add a block of text in the following form at the top of every single source file (.php, .js and maybe db.sql too):

Copyright (C) <year>  <Name of author>

This file is part of <project>.

<project> is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify
it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or
(at your option) any later version.

<project> is distributed in the hope that it will be useful,
but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of
MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.  See the
GNU General Public License for more details.

You should have received a copy of the GNU General Public License
along with <project>.  If not, see <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/>.

This is required in order to properly release a project under the terms of GNU GPL and is described in details at the link I've provided.

Other than this, there seems to be no problem with your project and it can be approved as soon as this issue is corrected. ;-)

Hi Pierre,

Your source files are missing copyright and license notices--please add them as appropriate.  More info can be found here: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html

If you are willing to make this change, please provide us with an updated tarball of your project.  Tip: using compression utility like gzip or bzip2 can greatly reduce package size. :-)

Please use the Savannah tracker to reply--the registration process is not email-driven.

Alex
