Hmm, it looks OK from here, perhaps you're looking at a cached
version?
Anyway, I put up a fresh copy at http://linux.nfshost.com/getht-latest.tar.bz2 , with the 51 Franklin St address.

Thanks for the swift response.

Hi,

Unfortunatly I don't see any change in the COPYING file and the FSF address is still wrong (675 Mass avenue... in place of 51 Franklin street).

You can find a up-to-date COPYING file at  http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt

Could you point to me an URL with the updated tarball ??

Cheers.

OK, I've altered the address. The headers of each file were fine, it was just COPYING that needed changing. The newer version is available from http://linux.nfshost.com/getht.tar.bz2

Don't worry about the delay - I haven't had much time myself recently for programming...

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

Sorry for the delay your are facing of.

The address of the FSF has changed, and is now:

51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA  02110-1301  USA

Please update the copy of the license (usually, the 'COPYING' file) in your package as well.

Updated versions of the GPL, LGPL and GFDL can also be found at:
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.txt

You can find some background and a possible migration script at https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=3766

Cheers

Registration Details

  • Name: GetHT
  • System Name:  getht
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:

GetHT is a simple command line (though I plan to add a GTK2 interface soon) tool to download the Digital Edition of the Hinduism Today magazine. [1]

Unfortunately Hinduism Today decided to not simply link to the PDFs and other multimedia for their issues, but instead they provide a proprietary program for OSX or Windows, which downloads contents files and the issues there listed [2].

This program then basically just parse a few contents files available online, to download PDFs and multimedia for the issues. It currently only runs on GNU/Linux, but it should be trivial to port to other OSes.

The goal is to provide a simple, easy to use client to download the magazine on any platform, however one sees fit. For example the client they provide will not allow one to save multimedia, or only download certain parts of the magazine. This one will.

It is written entirely in C, and is licensed under the GNU GPL. I haven't written much documentation yet, but I'll license it under either the GFDL or CC BY-SA.

You can download the pre-0.1 code at http://linux.nfshost.com/getht.tar.bz2

Other Comments:

Regarding you formats policy: the multimedia items it is able to download are mp3 and mp4.
I know these aren't the nicest formats, but they're also not the nastiest, and as I don't control the distribution there is no real alternative I have, other than not offering the functionality at all, which is unacceptable.
