I evaluated your submission and found no issues concerning the approval.

However there is one thing which you might or might not change:
In the README you state that the program is licensed under the GNU General Public License.  Omitting the version number means any GPL version can be applied.  But since you specify GPL v3+ in the license notices this isn't a pressing issue.

One last thing: You specified GPL v2+ in the submission whereas you specify GPL v3+ in the license headers.  I'm changing your project license to GPL v3+.  Please complain, if you want it to be undone.

You will receive a message about the approval with further instructions.

Happy hacking!

Description:

SpecMate is a graphical tool to analyse spectroscopic data.
Currently it offers three main features:
  1) Background removal,
  2) Comparision to (and subtraction of) reference datasets,
  3) Peak fitting(Gauss/Lorentz/Voigt).
The program is written in python (based on numpy/scipy, wxPython, and  wxmpl).
It has been tested on GNU/Linux (debian wheezy) only.

Other Software Required:

python, Python Software Foundation License, http://www.python.org/
numpy, BSD-new license, http://www.numpy.org/
scipy, BSD-new license, www.scipy.org/
wxPython, wxWindows Licence, http://www.wxpython.org/
wxmpl, MIT License, http://csrri.iit.edu/~wxmpl/

Other Comments:

There is a copy of "wxmpl.py" ((http://csrri.iit.edu/~wxmpl/; called "copy_of_wxmpl.py" here) distributed along with this package, since it is not yet available in stable versions of many GNU/Linux distributions. The file will only be used if wxmpl is not installed on the system.
wxmpl is published under the MIT License. The original README and LICENSE are distributed along with this package in README_LICENSE_WXMPL.
