Hi Luis,

Thanks for the clarifications.

I'm not willing to host awful in Savannah.  You can close this submission.

Again, thanks for your time.

Hello Mario,

Let me clarify point two:

You can keep your project in several hosts, but your project development should happen primarily on Savannah. We don't allow projects that intend to use Savannah just as a mirror.

As for point one:

Savannah considers files longer than 10 lines non-trivial, so copyright and license notices are necessary for those.

Are you still willing to host your project in Savannah or should I close your submission?

Hi Luis Felipe,

1. The files missing copyright and license notices are probably small test files and metadata files. I don't see the need to include a copyright text which is probably bigger than the code itself.

2.  Alright. I didn't know that.  I don't intend to move the repository out of github.

Thanks for your time.

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah. While doing so I have noticed a few problems which are described below.

  1. Many files are missing copyright and license notices. Write appropriate copyright and license notices, at the beginning of all of your source (non-derivative) files. http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html and http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html are good starting points to understand these issues and provide standard templates; please use them to speed up approval.
  2. We do not allow to host your project on Savannah and github at the same time, if Savannah is just a project mirror. Your project development should happen primarily on Savannah. How do you plan to use your Savannah account?

For the first issue, feel free to update the files directly on you current repository and let us know when they are ready for evaluation.

Regards.

Other Comments:

I've just added the license header and LICENSE file to the repository (see https://github.com/mario-goulart/awful/tree/dev), so I believe it now conforms to the license-related items from this form's check list.  Those changes are not included in the latest tarball, but they are going to be available in the next release.

Note that awful is a Chicken extension (http://wiki.call-cc.org/eggs), so it is intended to be installed by the chicken-install extensions manager. A tarball is only provided as a convenience for system packages -- it's not the main format for distributing Chicken extensions.
