OK, I'm approving your project, welcome on the board :)

PS. For next time, please reply using form on task's page, don't mail administrators directly, we like to keep things open to public :)

Here, I'm pasting your e-mail:

Hey,

i compiled it with the gnu fortran compiler only until today.

Bye,
Uwe

Thank you! Tarball now looks OK, but you haven't answered my first question. Will this code compile using free software Fortran compiler (like GNU Fortran)?

Hi!

Thank you for your submission.

Yes, Savannah does support git VCS.

I have two questions about your project:

1. Will it compile with free software Fortran implementation, like GNU Fortran?

2. Are files SOLVER.KEYWORDS and every file in "cubes" directory, automatically generated? If that's the case then no action is required from you and I will approve your project immediately. If not, then you need to add copyright notice and licensing header to these files.
If it is not possible because of format of the files, then you should just create README file which should contain copyright notice and licensing header and put it in cube folder. You can upload new tarball (with fixed issues) using "Attached Files" section on this page.

Thanks,
Tomasz

Registration Details

  • Name: strongly coupled hygrothermal solver for wood
  • System Name:  xtwoodsim
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

Description:

The solver calculates the strongly coupled heat and moisture field for wood and is based on the finite element software elmer (http://www.csc.fi/english/pages/elmer) and extends it with special user-functions for wood specific nonlinear material parameters and the possibility to simulate the sorret-effect and heat change due to evaporation. It is based on diffusion equations for heat and moisture. That's why it is not useful above the fiber saturation point. Furthermore the influence of pressure gradients is considered negligible. This results in a low accuracy above 70°C.
The model also supports relative humidity as an extension to the classic dirichlet, neuman and cauchy boundary conditions.

It contains several files. To compile run make in XTwoodSim/MyLibrary
and the command "ElmerSolver" per command line in XTwoodSim/. A simple
test case will be calculated with the results saved in XTwoodSim/cube/post/

The code is written entirely in Fortran95 and Fortran2000 and makes use of the object-oriented possibilities offered by those languages.

Other Software Required:

Elmer + GPL + www.elmerfem.org

Other Comments:

The code and documentation are written in german!

Is it possible to use git?
