Hi,

This is the support tracker for the Savannah administration.
Check the GRUB tracker or mailing list instead.

I don't know if this is the right place for this.

Program grub-probe produces a segfault.

While updating a machine to kernel 2.6.24-6 it failed. Checking os syslog found this:

kernel: grub-probe[7089]: segfault at 780000 rip 41899c rsp 7fffc6a11960 error 4

Even as the update gto solved, the problem with grub-probe remains. It happens if called from shell.

System:
Intel DQ35JO memory:4GB Disk:4*WD1200JS
OS:
Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux

Recommendations? Another place to go?
