Thanks!

Well, maybe my English is not clear enough... ;-)

I won't use it as a mirror, anyway.

I'm glad you still accept me, and I hope to build a project that worth it.

Peleg.

What we do not accept is when Savannah is used as a mirror.
What you describe is not using Savannah as a mirror, so it's ok.

I misread your sentence about mirroring, sorry :)

Well...

it IS ok, if you think that it'll help you (=Savannah) removing that project.

I will be happy if you'll try to tell me why do you think it'll be helpful for Savannah to remove that project, though.

It CAN be very helpful for me (=for AMW project) -> Tux won't provide us good mailing lists, Tux won't provide us Savannah's community, and most of all - Tux won't provide the "post job"  feature, which (actually) was the main reason to get into this site/community.

I hoped that HERE I could find people that will really join this project - while in Tux all they provide is hosting (and PHP execution rights, which are definitely needed to a PHP project...); The real opportunity for growth in a free-software style (more than just open-source: with a lot of different branches, styles... a real decentralized project) lies - I think - here.

Well - that's it for my arguments... ;-)

Still - it is up to you (you and the rest of the administrators) to decide.

I will respect any honest desicion.

Cheers,
Peleg.

Indeed in such case we usually remove the project.
Is that OK for you?

Hello.

Recently I found out that you do not allow PHP execution on your servers.

That fact (which, by mistake, I haven't noticed before applying for hosting) made me look for other free software host facilities, and now my project is hosted at TuxFamily's site.

I *could* use your webspace as a mirror to the project, and I could use it for other features, such as:

  • finding partners for the project
  • using the download area
  • use the mailing list feature
  • and be part of the community

I don't think if you believe that this is "fair"... but actually, if you *can* help this project (and want to), why not.. and maybe even - some day - this site have PHP+MySQL support and I'll move the project to Savannah.

Anyway, I open this question to you, the administrators - do you think that the "right" thing to do would be to request to delete my account (I mean, the project) - or do you think that it is ok that it'll stay here, so I'll be able to use the above-mentioned facilities of this site?

Thanks ahead,
Peleg Michaeli.
