Hi Lars,

the MIME-type sent by Apache is 'text/x-chdr' and thus correct for a C header file.

If you want to override that MIME-type, please add a 'AddType text/plain .h' to your .htaccess file, this should fix the issue for you.

Regards,

Stephan

I've started writing the webpages for the ll-plugins project, and I want to publish some C header files directly on the web (they are specifications for extensions to the LV2 plugin standard). I have a link to one on this page:

http://ll-plugins.nongnu.org/ext-mididatatype.html

When I click it Firefox pops up a dialog that says "You have chosen to open lv2-miditype.h which is a H file - what do you want to do with it" - so it looks like the webserver doesn't tell the browser that it is a text/plain file that can be viewed by any text editor or the browser itself.

Would it be possible to add MIME type mappings for the .h extension to text/plain (or some other suitable MIME type)? I can probably do it myself in a local .htaccess, but it may be useful for others too.
