It is my understanding that this currently being worked on.

As far as the UK holiday dates go, if you could do a list
of the dates and send it phpgroupware-developers@gnu.org. 
I am sure they would then be added.

please please add email alerts from calendar - this is the

It would be great if the calender could send emails
for meetings, to remind you before they happened. This
would allow the calender to be used like a reminder.

It may be possible for the package to do this -
although I can't see how it can (no crontab updates ).

This is an excellent piece of software.

Is there a download location for Uk holiday dates?
