functionality of this application.  We are currently

this functionality.

I wonder what happens though if you have to entries with the
same first name. That could be troublesome. By having a
nickname you can assure unique identifiers.

I tried using the first name in the To: field and it woked
as a "nickname". I do not if it was a coinsidence

It would be nice to have Nickname support in Email like
Yahoo Mail has. This way you don't necessarily have to
use the Addressbook pop-up window to get email
addresses. A nickname would allow you to enter a list
of nicknames like joe,bob,jill in the To field and when
you click send, it will search the addressbook for
those names and autmatically substitute their default
email addresses.
