Free UCS Outline Fonts - Bugs: Submit Item
Preamble
Please:
- Register for a Savannah account and log in before making your report. Then you will receive e-mail notification of activity on your report.
- Search for similar reports, before making your report. (Use the Bugs->Search menu on this page.)
- Make sure you are seeing FreeFont, and not some other font. This is not always easy to determine.
Notice that most modern software will change fonts without warning. Particularly, most web browsers, upon finding a character that isn't represented in the current font, will display a glyph from the first font that supports that character.
It is also possible to have multiple copies of a font on a system, in which case it may be hard to tell which the system is actually using. In Linux, you might try:
locate FreeSerif
In your report, as appropriate
- note the release date of the FreeFont package you are using (find it in the changelog file for FreeFont, perhaps under /usr/share/docs)
- note the Unicode character code of the character in question, or a sample character string illustrating the problem.
- note which program you were using to view the text, and the name and version of your operating system.
- attach a screenshot image and original documents (HTML,TeX,Word,...) so we can see the bug happen ourselves.
