Unfortunately we do not currently have the resources to track down this kind of requests. Please reopen this bug if you can provide a patch, or if you're willing to work on this issue.

I think that for grub 2 it can be added support for
LDM (dynamic volumes) partition layout.
It shouldn't be very difficult, because grub need only to find the partition and nothing more.
