If you use &#92 to represent your character (it is the html equiv. of \) it works fine. I replicated your problem in I suppose the back-end should be replacing this / all special characters for display purposes... I found a table of equiv's here: http://www.natural-innovations.com/wa/doc-charset.html

If I get to feeling ambitious I might just work on a storage function to convert all of the special characters to their equiv's... but I have my hands tied with the patches I am trying to produce for phpbrain.

I spent some time on this one this evening. I can't work out how to fix atm. It seems to be an issue with the way the data is returned from the database. The data is invalid in db->Record which is annoying.

I will keep you posted

In sitemanager, html module, i've not found a way to insert a \ character, if i insert it, the page content are not saved (even if i insert \\), and \\ entities are left unprocessed.
