One particularly recurring change to fractions that arises when typing long texts is that from inline to display mode. It thus seems reasonable to have a variant for this, via TAB, since casting a fraction in one style into the other means a lot of cutting and pasting.

There are 0 votes so far. Votes easily highlight which items people would like to see resolved in priority, independently of the priority of the item set by tracker managers.
I think this is tricky, since the inline fraction would have to take into account precedence of operations in order to decide what is part of it and what not and I don't know whether that can always be satisfactorily done, given the plethora of operations there is. Of course some solution which worked 90% might be nevertheless desirable.
I'm assigning this to the person knowledgeable in grammars and parsing and everything else. :)
