Sat 28 Oct 2023 04:33:53 PM UTC, comment #1: Can you try clearing your user preference folder? It is the hidden AppData\Roaming\TeXmacs subdirectory of your home directory. You may delete it entirely or rename it to something else if you want to keep some of its content. TeXmacs will create a fresh user directory at the next start, and hopefully the problem will be gone. Let us know if issues persist after that (high CPU load, notably).

I'm a new user of TeXmacs and after two days of using it, I can not open the software anymore. Basically, whenever the software is opened, it only runs for a while, appears at the corner of the screen and then suddenly disappears.

We have not been able to reproduce this bug.
Could you backup AppData\Roaming\TeXmacs, delete it,
and try again, as Philippe suggested?
Does that solve your problem?
If the problem persists, then could you please give a more detailed recipe that will allow us to reproduce the bug?
Thanks for your help.
