I am not sure of the nature of this bug. TeXmacs is just very slow in large papers and gets slower with time until you restart it. I opened a discussion here:
http://forum.texmacs.cn/t/slow-editing-of-large-papers/1007

and I am attaching relevant files to this bug report. Neither the mailing list nor the forum allows me to attach these files
