"which is not easy to rectify" just create a shortcut for the command Command: Even Up the Staffs Appends empty measures to any staffs that are too short. Location: Object Menu ▶ Movements Internal Name: EvenOutStaffLengths It would be good if this were included in the Paste command - as a workaround paste this in the Scheme window and create a palette button or command for it. (d-Paste) (d-EvenOutStaffLengths)
In Windows 10, if I paste a selection into less than all the staffs of a system, the selection having more bars than are present from that point in the system, then the system ends up with an uneven number of bars, which is not easy to rectify. It seems at present you have to add sufficient bars to the system before pasting, which is not ideal. See attached.
