I have come across behaviour that I think might be a bug in msgmerge (it's possible that I have misunderstood something or made a mistake elsewhere, but I've read the docs and tried the latest release of msgmerge, and I don't see anything obvious).
The issue is with plural forms in a compendium (supplied with -C flag to msgmerge) not being used to update empty translations in a target po-file. Repro case files attached. To reproduce, run the following command:
msgmerge --update repro.po repro.po -C comp.po
Expected behaviour: both strings in repro.po get updated with the translations in comp.po.
Observed behaviour: the (non-plural) translation for "Active filters" gets applied to repro.po successfully, but the plural translation "Since yesterday" remains blank (untranslated).
Please let me know if any more info is required; also, if this is a bug, but you think there is an easy workaround, that would be helpful to know as well.
