When using a font which features old ligatures (e.g. ‘st’, one for ‘st’), those are enabled by default, so every instance of ‘st’ has an extra antique line connecting the two letters. This is the case for the ‘Linux Libertine’ font, for example. (See the attached image.) I would prefer to turn them off for some documents, but haven't found an option for this in the user interface.

It would be nice to have a way to disable these ligatures. On the mailing lists, I have been suggested a workaround to insert a zero-width space in between every two symbols where the ligature would otherwise appear. That works, but isn't really user-friendly.
