I tested this on MacOS with the sheet-widget 0.1 with gtk3 3.22.19

To reproduce the problem

 - Create four variables a,b,c,d
 - Add data 1,2,3,4 for one case
 - Select 1,2 data for that case
 - Do COPY
 - Select cell 3 and PASTE

Expected: The data 1,2 from variables a,b is pasted to variables c,d and replaces 3,4,

Actual: Data from variable c is emptied. Data from Variable d is unchanged (4).

The same happens when copy/paste is done in that way between different cases.

Single Cell copy works.
