Hello, I'm using TeXmacs 1.99.5 on MacOS and experiencing a similar problem.

1. Launch TeXmacs. The window is "No name [1]".
2. Click "View -> Open a new window", which opens a new window "No name [2]".
3. Close the window "No name [1]".

Now TeXmacs freezes. The interface is responding but no action can be executed. Normal quitting is also impossible.

If the instance was launched from command line, it prints a segmentation fault at step 3. The printed information is attached as <tm-seg-fault-20170501.log>.

This is not occurring in linux. Can anyone confirm on MacOS?

Vincent: Does the problem persist if you click anywhere in the document before trying to close texmacs? (if yes, it would be related to #43373)
