In 1.99.6 I cannot reproduce this bug. There is only one search popup window open at any time and following the recipe below the crash does not happens.

It is quite easy to crash TeXmacs when using multiple windows.  This problem is not specific to Qt, yet the buggy behaviour is aggravated for this GUI.

One reproducable way to trap the interface goes as follows:
  - Open a first window and type some text
  - Clone the window
  - Open a search popup window (not the status bar) in window #1
  - Open a search popup window for window #2
  - Close both popup windows
