Actually there is no standard for INBOX names, uw-imap does it differently to courier/cyrus and gnu mailutils is different again.

If you can provide a link or more info about dovecot we might be able to track down the problem.

when I try to connect to our mial server (dovecot) I've got an error message:
Warning: Couldn't open stream {mail.int.bppiac.hu:143}INBOX in /var/www/html/phpgroupware/email/inc/class.mail_dcom_imap.inc.php on line 214
of course since this mail server doesn't use the stupid "INBOX." prefix. but AFAIS this is hardcoded into the clinet:-(
is there any way to remove this?
another category (eg: standard compilant:-) would be useful.
another poroblem that folder names with accent charater (UTF8) can be seen wrong or just until the first strange char.
