To fix this I have to change a bit the way TeXmacs boot. On the Mac the message about open files is sent after the application booted and opened an empty buffer (since the current code only looks for files in the command line and open an empty buffer in the case there are none). I think the best to do, to clean also up the code, is to have a different main routine for any system which is specific to the way the user interact with the app. For example on Linux we want to be able to pass flags and files on the command line, while on Mac and Windows this is not the usual behavior (and can cause some bugs like the crash when trying to pass files on the command line on the Mac). I will think about it.

Under MacOS and TeXmacs installed from the dmg.
When opening a document by double clicking on a file in Finder,
TeXmacs also opens a window with an empty document.
